Baguio-based indie-pop band Cup of Joe is set to join the star-studded lineup of performers at the inaugural Filipino Music Awards (FMA) 2025, happening this October. The group, known for hits like Tataya and Estranghero, will share the stage with OPM heavyweights including SB19, BINI, and Zack Tabudlo.
The FMA is shaping up to be a milestone event for the local music scene, aiming to honor Filipino artistry with categories spanning pop, hip-hop, indie, and regional sounds. For Cup of Joe, the performance is a major highlight in their still-rising career, following their sold-out shows earlier this year.
Organizers have promised big collaborations and special tributes during the awards night — fueling fan buzz online about possible cross-genre numbers. Beyond performances, the FMA also positions itself as the local counterpart to international platforms like the Grammys, aiming to give OPM artists global recognition.
“We’re just honored to be part of history,” the band shared in a statement ahead of rehearsals.
The Filipino Music Awards 2025 will be broadcast live nationwide, with simultaneous streaming on major platforms.
