DASMARIÑAS, Cavite — Pilipinas Got Talent Season 7 Grand Champion Cardong Trumpo, known offstage as Ricardo Cadavero, received an unexpected and heartwarming gift from Asia’s Superstar, Kathryn Bernardo—a brand-new television set delivered right to his home.

Despite the persistent rains and flooding caused by recent storms, Kathryn made sure the surprise reached Mang Cardo just days after she treated him and his family to a grocery shopping spree and a cozy café meal.

The humble performer took to Facebook to express his heartfelt gratitude to the Kapamilya actress, recalling her crucial role in his journey to victory.

“Maraming salamat sa iyo Ma’am Kathryn Bernardo, na ipinaglaban mo ako na makapasok sa semi finals. Kung hindi sa iyo Ma’am Kathryn, walang Cardong Trumpo na Grand Winner ng PGT7. Maraming salamat ulit ma’am. Ingat palagi. God bless you po,” Cadavero wrote.

While the actress has remained low-key about her act of generosity—only a few photos from their grocery trip made it to her social media—those close to her say this is not out of character.
