MANILA — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has temporarily suspended all sea voyages in Negros Oriental starting Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, as Tropical Depression Verbena approaches.

The suspension applies to all types of vessels and watercraft in the province.

The precaution follows a Signal No. 1 warning issued by PAGASA for parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

The PCG clarified that vessels may only seek shelter after submitting a written request to the nearest Coast Guard station—and no passengers or cargo are allowed during this time.

Normal maritime operations will resume once conditions improve and the PCG issues clearance for safe navigation.
