SB19 once again proved they’re the face of modern P-pop after clinching Artist of the Year at the 2025 Filipino Music Awards (FMA) held at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Makati.
The five-member group — Pablo, Stell, Josh, Ken, and Justin — took home the night’s biggest honor, along with awards for Best Performance by a Group and Fan Choice. The recognition caps off a record-breaking year for the band, whose 2024–2025 tour “Pagtatag: The Finale” sold out arenas across Asia and North America.
In their acceptance speech, Pablo thanked their fans, A’TIN, for “never letting the light dim, even when things got hard.” He also teased that the group is already “in the studio working on something new,” hinting at fresh music before the year ends.
Industry watchers note that SB19’s consistent success has cemented their position not just as top-tier artists, but also as trailblazers for the P-pop movement. Music critic Nica del Rosario told ABS-CBN News that “SB19 has gone beyond being a fan phenomenon — they’ve become a cultural export.”
The FMA win follows the group’s string of achievements this year, including collaborations with international acts, topping Spotify Philippines charts, and representing the country in Asia’s Sound Collective music showcase.
As for what’s next, fans speculate a global rebrand could be underway. SB19’s management, 1Z Entertainment, has yet to confirm, but their social channels have recently teased visuals featuring a new logo and tagline: “SB19: Era II.”
Whether it’s a new album, world tour, or an international collab, one thing’s clear — SB19 isn’t slowing down anytime soon. They’re not just carrying the P-pop torch; they’re redefining what it means to be Filipino artists on the world stage.
